Insert Blocks Dialog Box

Insert Blocks Dialog Box

Insert Blocks Dialog Box

(OP)
How do I increase the size of the list of blocks in my drawing, that show up in the dialog box when I enter the insert blocks command.  Only a few blocks show and it is frustrating to scroll through the list.  I have seen this list come up longer on other computers, making it easier to scroll through the list.  It must be a system variable??

RE: Insert Blocks Dialog Box

Can you stretch the file dialog window to show more block filenames?

IFRs,

Other dialog boxes, such as "browse", or "save as",can be stretched, but this on cannot.  Thanks for the try.

RE: Insert Blocks Dialog Box

What verstion of AutoCAD are you using?
If I type INSERT on the command line, then pick Browse in the next dialog, the following file dialog is stretchable in R2005.

The browse dialog box can be stretched to lengthen that list.  The window to the left of the browse button, which contains the list of blocks that are in the current drawing is the one that I am having issues with.  In two different installations of the same version of AutoCad 2004 the box on one is 4 items long and the box on the other is ten items long.  My license is installled on Windows XP, the other is installed on Windows 2000.  Both are the same Release version bought at roughly the same time.

RE: Insert Blocks Dialog Box

My install of R2005 on XP seems to adjust the box to suit the number of blocks in the drawing.  I'll try an install of R2005 on W2000 and report back.
