Need pump w/ 3 inlets (ie dry sump)

Need pump w/ 3 inlets (ie dry sump)

I'm looking for an industrial version of a 3 stage pump used in racing dry sump systems - 2 suctions, one pressure stage - capable of around 10 gpm when attached to an electric motor, either 1800 or 3600 nominal RPM. Pressure isn't an issue since it feeds roller bearings.

I've checked with the race guys but their aluminum construction is a problem. Local industrial supplier can't grasp the concept.

Ideally, a pump already on a 110 or 230vac single phase motor would be perfect.

Any suggestions? Drop back 15 yards and punt??

Thanks!!

RE: Need pump w/ 3 inlets (ie dry sump)

The phrase '3 stage' might confuse an industrial pump supplier.  The pump doesn't care whether it's suction or pressure in this context.

In industrial terms, what you're looking for is a 'ganged' or 'stacked' gear pump.  I think Commercial Shearing used to produce a line of modular hydraulic gear pumps that could be stacked.

Thanks Mike!
I figured there must be a 'non-racing' term...  I'll pass this term on the the local guy today and see if it helps them.
