electric motors in mechanical parallel

(OP)
What is the relationship between power, torque, and speed of two or more Electric motors geared together?

Thanks,

Brendan

RE: electric motors in mechanical parallel

Speed must of course be the same.

Torque will be the sum.

Power is total torque X speed X appropriate conversion factors for unit system of you preference.

If the electrical power supply is not from the same source, expect problems.

RE: electric motors in mechanical parallel

I think the above assumes that the motors are identical.  If not, it would depend on the characteristics of those particular motors, and would not be a general relationship.
