"selling" the service

(OP)
Hi,

I have been looking around this forum for several weeks now and have been getting a lot of good information. I appreciate everyone's advice and recommendations.

A little background...I have been doing P/PM Program for water and sewage treatment stations for about 2 years now.  My partner & I are looking into starting an infrared rooftop scanning business.  I have identified some good targets to present our service to but am still trying to figure out a good "sales pitch" to get my foot in the door.

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on explaining the service/benefits to potential prospects without getting too technical.  I know there will be a lot of cold calling involved, i just want to establish a quick, concise pitch to get their attention.  Any advice would be appreciated.

RE: "selling" the service

How is your business doing? Where are you located? I'm starting a similar venture in lower Mississippi.
