Kindly advise the recommended type of grease for skidding steel upon steel? We have a project to skid a drilling rig which means two parallel steel boxes (60' x 7' wide) together supporting about 320 ton are to be pulled about 16 ft lengthways along pre-set steel plates fixed onto a concrete slab. Consider Shell Base Coat together with Shell Slip coat, that is also used to launch ships.
It is water resistent can can withstand pressures up to .5 Mpa.Regards

This may sound strange, but I've heard of Ivory soap being used in shipyards.  I can't confirm it though.
