RE: pid three position output algorithm

What do you mean by "three position output with simulated feedback?"

RE: pid three position output algorithm

Is this a homework problem?

RE: pid three position output algorithm

If it is not a homework problem, I think the Electric Motor Controls forum is not necessarilly the right place to ask. I would try the PLC or Control Systems forums, those folks deal with the propeller-head stuff more than we do.

If it is a homework problem, get a life and buck-up like the rest of us did.

RE: pid three position output algorithm

I can't give you an algorithm but the idea is

Output above setpoint-drive full negative

Output within a band around setpoint-do nothing

Output below  setpoint-drive full positive.

A real world example-heating and air conditioning control.

Temperature about correct-no heat or air.

Temp too high-turn on the air.

Temp too low-turn on the heat.
