Need information on an AC Packard motor

Need information on an AC Packard motor

Need information on an AC Packard motor

(OP)
Please forgive me. While I am not an engineer, at least I knew where to come to get help with this question.

I've been handed down the following motor and am VERY interested in when it may have been built along with any other information I can find on it.

It's a Packard Electronics Division / General Motors AC Motor.

1/4hp, 115 volts, 60 cycles, 5 amps, 1750 rpm motor.

Any ideas?

RE: Need information on an AC Packard motor

The old Packard Electric division of GM made wiring harnesses for cars, but I never heard of them making motors. This site seems to indicate that they made "other electrical products" however, apparently even including light bulbs!

Maybe they can help.
