unknown delta and star connections

unknown delta and star connections

(OP)
My company has a "new to us" milling machine (1978) with little to no information on it.  That includes the main motor which can be set to 220 or 440.  There is 4 diagrams (2 delta 2 star) that this motor can be wired to.  the guy who is wiring it up is not sure as to which one. by the way, we want it to be 440v.

To describe these diagrams on the cover:
delta and star for 12 lead connection
1st diagram has -  ?  U = 2a
2nd diagram has -  ??  U = a
3rd diagram has -  "star"  U = (?3)*2a
4th diagram has -  "star" "star" U = (?3)*a

The machine is a Polamco FYA41M milling machine with digital readout.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

RE: unknown delta and star connections

Hi
From the details that you have given...it sounds like this could well be a 2 speed motor....do you have any data plate details.
