Circular pattern in design table

Circular pattern in design table

Circular pattern in design table

(OP)
I lost a part created in an earlier version of SW that I am trying to recreate from scratch. I am having trouble remembering (or locating in help or this forum),how to put the variable for the number of instances of a circular pattern in the design table. I have tried both a pattern at the sketch and feature level, but neither comes into the design table when auto created. I am extruding holes in a flange and the number of holes varies. I know I am missing something basic. Thanks for the help.

RE: Circular pattern in design table

Double click the pattern feature to see it's parameters. You should see the number of instances though sometimes it's on top of the angle dimension so try moving them around. I would suggest right clicking it and giving it a name like Number@pattern1 instead of the standard D1@pattern1.

You can copy / paste this into the design table, or you can double click it and change it's value to "This Config" and give it a different value then let the Design table auto insert it.
