WIREFRAME WELDMENT CANNOT CHOOSE EVERY JOINT TYPE

WIREFRAME WELDMENT CANNOT CHOOSE EVERY JOINT TYPE

WIREFRAME WELDMENT CANNOT CHOOSE EVERY JOINT TYPE

(OP)
Does anybody have trouble in weldments, when you are trying to trim/extend a joint after creating a wireframe model and inserting the material,Solidworks not letting you change the joint type.
For example if you create a square wireframe and insert tube with one of the butt joint options, all the joints go the same way travelling around the square weldment and then it won't let you change them under trim/extend.
If you insert the material with [insert corner treatment]
unchecked you can apply your own corner treatment but the model will have gaping holes to show for it.
Anybody??

Forget it,I've sorted it out[should have known it would be my fault]
Have to be more particular with what I trim/extend first
