Fast threads

(OP)
I am looking for special threads used for quick opening of jars, bottles, etc. I am interested in standards and specifications, and also in calculations of forces, friction, etc, for different materials with such threads.
Thanks for any ideas.

RE: Fast threads

Check out multiple lead threads.  They are favorable for all the mechanical props that you listed.

RE: Fast threads

I agree multi lead threads is good. Machinist Handbook has wide varety different thread types (light bulb etc..).

If you have a good machine shop they can offen design one or copy one for you.

Good Luck & Happy New Year!!
