VCP vs SDR?

VCP vs SDR?

(OP)
I work for a wastewater utility in California. Our construction standards require the use of VCP for all sanitary sewer installations under 36" diameter. This standard was set as we were concerned with the potential for degredation of plastic pipe should certain chemicals be discharged into our system. Our long-term goal has always been to have a usefull life of 100 years in our collection system. We are now being asked by the development community to consider the use of plastic pipe as an alternative to VCP. I am interested in any experience one may have on the use of plastic pipe in collection systems and its expected useful life. Thank you.
