Well, I messed up trying to edit a sheet format. In the tolerance block I could not select the new text being added for the tolerances, without selecting the entire block of text. So I right clicked on the text in the block and hid it. Now I cannot get it back. Clicking the hide/show icon did not highlight it, although it does show annotations in the drawing view that were hid.

I finally copy and pasted the text from another format. What have I missed? Thanks.

RE: hide/show annotations

You have not missed anything!

I just tried it and I can recreate it. The problem is in SW04 the option to hide Annotations in the Edit sheet Format was not possible. In SW05 they changed this and the ability is there. Whether it was suppose to be or not is a question only SW can answer. The other issue is that the "View\Hide/Show Annotations" works but only when your in "Edit Sheet" mode of a drawing.

So the questions are Should the "Hide" be available in the "Edit sheet format" mode? If so, then the "View\Hide/Show Annotations" Should work in both. If the "hide" shoud not be avaialbe, then it should be removed from RMB menu.

I have since contacted SW about this and it was turned in as an SPR# 246318. The workaround is to re-add the annotations, start over, or reload your sheet format.

I hope that helps.

Thanks. It looks like the mistake I made was right clicking the text and selecting hide from the pop up menu. It seems to work ok if the hide/show icon is used instead.
