ASME Stamps & new owner

ASME Stamps & new owner

ASME Stamps & new owner

(OP)
If a company that is not an ASME stamp holder buys an ASME code shop, can the existing stamps be used in the continued operation of that shop under the new owners?  What is the cost to transfer these or get new stamps?

Typically ASME Section VIII unfired pressure vessels and small fired vessels, oil-field type equipment.

RE: ASME Stamps & new owner

Yes, existing stamps can be used for continuing operation if there is no change of name of the company. In case of name change, same can be done at a nominal charge from ASME and national board.

RE: ASME Stamps & new owner

Good advise, your QC support has to be there to support the stamps, and if there is no liability matters in the old Company,
you can use the same.
For pricing of new stamps contact the ASME Acredittation
you are to spend a few thousand Dlls (10,000k to be an pprox)
