Reference geometry in drawing
(OP)
Do any of you ever need to put reference geometry in a drawing? E.g. A lines group may need to show part of the frame for locating purposes.
Thanks

RE: Reference geometry in drawing
Additionally, you have to position the "line frame" where you want it in modeling, and when you want a side view, you have to rotate your frame.
It really becomes much more of a hassel that what it's worth.

RE: Reference geometry in drawing
I incorporate reference datum planes into drawings to show where my object is in space, and how reference lengths are measured.
However I do not incorporate reference geometry in modeling to position a view in a drawing.
Or maybe I misunderstood the question all together? Wouldn't put it past me! :)
