High Rise Building Guide

High Rise Building Guide

High Rise Building Guide

(OP)
Anyone have any recommendations on a design guide or text book dealing with the design of high rise buildings?  I am not necessarily looking for a material-specific book, but will gladly check those out, too.

Thanks.

RE: High Rise Building Guide

Gaylord and Gaylord have a Structural Design Handbook (try Googling for it) that has a section in the back on high-rise fundamentals.

RE: High Rise Building Guide

Hi ml13,

There are two very good books, try it in your local library.
They are :

1.-Tall Building structures - Analysis and Design - by Bryan Stafford Smith and Alex Coull

2.- Multi-Storey Buildings in Steel by Hart, Henn and Sontag

For Concrete Buildings there is a Chapter in The Handbook of Concrete Engineering  , by Mark Fintel.
