Using piles in GEPSLOPE/W

Using piles in GEPSLOPE/W

Using piles in GEPSLOPE/W

(OP)

Does anyone have expereince modelling piles with GEOSLOPE/W.  We are trying to stabilize a slope by driving timber piles at the toe of the slope.  Due to small size of piles with respect to slope we are not having any improvement in slope stability.  Even when I specify a really high cohesion for the pile there is no improvement in stability.  Has anyone modelled piles with GEOSLOPE?W?

RE: Using piles in GEPSLOPE/W

You can't directly model any type of pile in a slope stability program.  Also, unless the slope is very short, timber piles will not have enough strength to make a significant difference.
