Is it possible to deliver steam at 2.5bar, 135 degC to a distance of 1600m?

RE: steam flow

Sure - you just need a pipe big enough so you don't have an un-acceptible pressure drop.

If you have High pressure steam or medium pressure steam you would be better off to run it the 1600m and then let down the pressure and desuperheat it to get your desired conditions at the end of the piping run.
Just my opinion.

RE: steam flow

No(seriously). You will have pressure drop, as suggested by TBP, if you go with a realistic pipe sizing calculation. If you are surrealistic then you will get the heat out of steam. In any case, heat loss will be significant.

RE: steam flow

Of course you can deliver the steam.  However, you have not specified a flow rate.  The pressure drop will be dependent upon what the desired mass flow rate is and the heat lose from the pipe.
Naturally, the pipe diam has to be considered.

To answer your one-sentence query:  Yes.

As sailoday28 states, if you don't furnish any definite, specific, and detailed basic data, how can we furnish anything better than a yes or no?
