SO2/SO3 dewpoint

Can some one suggest any software or program or literature to calcu;ate the SO2/ SO3 dew point in the flue gas which contain water as well.  Already used Pierce equation and similar graphs.

Thanks

RE: SO2/SO3 dewpoint

I have written the Visual Basic Code for this which you can use as an add in macro in Excel. The following information apply:
1. It was specifically developed for evaluation of stack gas dew points for boilers, direct fired heaters, indirect fired heaters, incinerators etc.. It forms part of a detailed performance evaluation model for these units where the LHV efficiency is back calculated based on the measured operating parameters (stack gas oxygen, stack gas temperature, fuel flow etc.).
2. You can input the flame temperature which is required to calculate the equilibrium Kp value for the conversion of SO2 to SO3.
3. It will give you the sulfurous acid and sulfuric acid gas dew points. Program can be expanded to include the hydrobromic, hydrochloric and nitric acid gas dew points if required. These have not been added as SO2 and SO3 are the major ones of interest.
4. Imperial units are used

Thanks for your response, I am interseted in your code. If it is possible can you post it?

Thanks.

Thanks to others as well for your thoughts and useful software sites.  I have  used

RE: SO2/SO3 dewpoint

If anyone needs code from free calculators, it is very easy to get the code for making these calculations.  If you have the JavaScript calculator in your browser window, simly click on "View" and "Source" and the code will appear in your NotePad program.  You can then save it anywhere you want it. If the window does not have the menu at top, right click anywhere on window.
I would suggest that you also save the references, as to where these formulas came from originally.
This method is from A. G. Okkes in Hydrocarbon Processing, dated July 1987, pp 53-55.
