Flexible 3.3 KV, 95 sq mm rubber insulated copper cables

(OP)
Can anyone suggest websites for flexible 3.3 KV rubber insulated copper cables for 95 sq mm and above ? Any personal experiences with these cables will be appreciated.

RE: Flexible 3.3 KV, 95 sq mm rubber insulated copper cables

Take a look at Pirelli cables, should be easy to find on the internet.

They have single and 3 phase with and without F.O.

kind regards,

Danny

Trailing/Reeling cables?

We use trailing cables on our showels and drills (Mining, 3.3kV and 6.6kV)

I do not know where you are located, but if you are in Southern Africa, you can contact Aberdare cables. We use a rubber cable (type 66) for our 6.6kV shovels. (their site is www.aberdare.co.za but I haven't seen this cable info on their site, you have to contact them)

You can also visit: ( search for rubber cables)
http://www.drakakabely.cz/www.draka.cz/eenc/index.template.php?templ=index.katalog.html&;XKATSOR=4
Cable name: Tenax

You'll find info under:

At the Drakakabely-site, see the last product:
NTMCWOEU***
However, it is rated for 10 or 20kV

I'm sure you'll find also useful info at okonite (www.okonite.com)

What do you want to do with the cable?

Ralph

Thx Ralph. I want to use this cable for loop tests on large generators where I expect to have volatges around 2 KV max. So, I need lots of flexibility to wind around the cable stator core. At Drakakabely site, all the links go back to the same page (list of items). Okonite sounds interesting. Will get back after I talk to them. Thx once again.

Just click once on the lefthand colomn. I've noticed that if you open it in a new page, it goes back to the main page.

How long is the piece you want to use? If it is not that long, and if you have 3-core cable  on site, (size you want to use and bigger than 3kV) strip the cable and use the tails. Just remember to strip semi-conductor jacket also and to clean it.

Ralph

There is a robust semi-flexible 2kV-rated unshielded cable termed “DLO” {diesel locomotive cable} sized from 14AWG (~2mm²) to 1111kcmil (~550mm²).   This “2-pass” cable with Individual stranding of 24AWG with EPR-dielectric/CSPE-jacket that is very likely available in mm² sizes.

Example www.elektrimna.com/DLO.html

Thx Ralph. The site still doesn't work. May be my computer problem. Problem using the 3 core is the termination.
