Should storage tanks be part of this group too?

Should storage tanks be part of this group too?

Seems to me that we should include storage tank issues here too.  If you all agree... should the group name be "Vessel, Boiler and Tank Engineering"  Even if all agreed, how would such a name change be accomplished?

RE: Should storage tanks be part of this group too?

storage tanks may already be addressed under Structural Engineering.  i have seen a couple entries over there.

B&PVs are an entirely different animal.

RE: Should storage tanks be part of this group too?

Tanks would more properly fall under mechanical engineering, but makes no difference to me where they get discussed at.

Steve,

Where I work, all Tanks are handled through our Pressure Vessel Group and I know at some other companies it is the same.

Just post your question here and you will have targeted many of the readers that can help you, regardless of the name of the forum.

Good luck,
