DSP data communication

(OP)
Hello,

I am a bit new to the area of DSP data communication.
Right now the company I work with sends data from a DSP board via e-mail to a server and the server basically parses that data.

What is the best way to send the data securely? encrypting the data? Also, what would be a better way to send the data instead of an e-mail. An e-mail is sent every X amount of hours.

Thanks in advance,
Rac3r5
