Hi
What is the procedure adopted for finding bolt tightening loads for GKEN machines of pressure vessel.

If there is any literature available please send me.

RE: GKEN bolts tigtening loads

Hi Eabrar

To work out your required bolt loads you need to know your
external load which will be distributed according to how many bolts you intend to use. The size of the bolt needs to carry the portion of the distributed load whatever that might be without unduly stressing the bolt.
There will be methods set out for bolts on pressure vessels you should refer to either BS5500 or ASME 8.
