If I have solid part, how can find the area of it's projection to a plane? I cannot figure out how to project soid

Thank you

RE: Projection area

Alexten,
* Go to the sketcher workbench (selecting the plane on which you want the projection).
* Project the surface under consideration using Project 3d element command
* The resultant must be a closed polygon
* Now go to GSD workbench ans create a FILL for the polygon.
* Now Using 'Measure Item' Command, you can get the area.

The Method is lengthy, but it works
