Solidworks Importing question
Solidworks Importing question
(OP)
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has found an effective way to import models from 3D Studio Max, and Maya into Solidworks?
Is it possible without a major purchase of software?
Is the quality of the model reduced when imported?
Just Curious.
Thanks,
Jon

Studio Max saves as a .MAX file. Not sure what Maya can save as. I know solidworks will not open the .MAX file. I was just wondering if there was a converter or add-in for solidworks out there somewhere that wasn't too expensive.
Theophilus,
I've also seen lots of free studio max models on the internet and that is why I'm posing this question. I will have to look into the Rhino conversion.
Thank you both for your input.
