Ray tracing "bounces"

Ray tracing "bounces"

Ray tracing "bounces"

(OP)
I'm currently using the ray-tracing tool in I-Deas to determine where light will fall on a project of mine given that it bounces of walls, etc. I know ray-tracing is probably not meant to be used for analysis, but rather for asthetic purposes, but I find I have no other alternative.

The problem I'm having is that I am unable to get the light rays to "bounce" off the walls more than twice. I've done tests and this appears to be the right number. Is anyone aware of a way to add more bounces to the ray trace?

Or does anyone know of another (free) program that could possibly import an IGS (or other Ideas export) and then perform ray traces with high bounce numbers? Thanks in advance for any help.
