APPROPRIATE TOOLBOXES TO ACCOMPANY MATLAB AND SIMULINK

APPROPRIATE TOOLBOXES TO ACCOMPANY MATLAB AND SIMULINK

(OP)
Please inform me on what additional toolboxes in addition to MATLAB AND SIMULINK would be purchased by a school offering Control engineering laboratory for chemical, electrical, electronics, computer and mechanical engineering students.

Do you have info on the unit price of each?

RE: APPROPRIATE TOOLBOXES TO ACCOMPANY MATLAB AND SIMULINK

The Control Systems Toolbox is useful, however it has its limitations, specifically the function to work out the Static Stability Margins of a system (Gain and Phase Margins) I presented it with a complex system with a number of positive poles and/or zeros, and it reported the system was unstable despite responses, bode diagrams, nyquist plots etc... indicating otherwise.

Sorry but can't help on the prices
