RE: tie trap

Sorry tustry-

Haven't heard that term ever.

Regards

RE: tie trap

If you saw this word on some foundation drawings, I have heard foundation guys refer to a beam that connects footings for the purpose of resisting horizontal loads as a "strap" or "tie strap".  I would check and see if it is possible that the word was mis-spelled.

great -- i think they probably misspelled it -- it is probably it -- thanks for all of your help!
