CATIA v5 on dual-processor machine ???

CATIA v5 on dual-processor machine ???

CATIA v5 on dual-processor machine ???

(OP)
Hi

Does Catia V5 make use of dual-processor machines ?

I am asking about both versions - for UNIX/Linux and MS Windows 2k/XP....

Thanks !

Best Regards,
RSth

RE: CATIA v5 on dual-processor machine ???

The stress analysis supposedly does, but I haven't seen it do it.

Some of the batch utilities do (DMU Builder).

For the most part (99% of V5), no.

I run V5 on an old Dual Processor PIII machine. Its mainly DMU functions that really use both processors but if i watch the usage graph while using GSD, one is at about 55% the other at 35-45%.
I remember another question on this and someone said "by right clicking on the process in task manager you can increase its priority" or something like that.
