Step up Transformer for Compax 3 AC Drive

Step up Transformer for Compax 3 AC Drive

(OP)
I am wanting to know if there is anyone out there that has used a Toroidal Transformer to step up from 110VAC to 230VAC 13Amps to supply a Compax 3 or any servo drive motor before and if there are any thing that needs to be concidered when doing so?
Is it correct to say that a Toroidal Transformer is the same as an Auto transformer and if the formula:
Prate=Pout x (V hi - V low)/ Vhi
Is correct to work out the Power Rate i.e. Watts
The reason that i have 13 amps is for max current.
I come out with this:
Prate= Pout x (230 - 110)/230
Pout = 230 x 13amps = 2990 watts
Prate =2990 x  0.5217
Prate = 1559.88 watts (rating of transformer)
Would that answer be correct for the Rating of the transformer.
Would the VA rating be 80% of that ?  1247.90 VA ?
Please feel free to correct where i might be going wrong, thanks guys and girls.
