Cronatron / Certanium Welding Systems
(OP)
I am interviewing for a job with Cronatron / Certanium Welding Systems.
would any of you have any insight to the company of the products? I have googled them many different way and have yet to find anything bad about them or their parent company Lawson Products Inc.
Any comments would be appreciated.

RE: Cronatron / Certanium Welding Systems
We had great confidence in Cronatron Cast Iron electrodes 211 for dirty and 222 for relatively clean CI. For a while were they only one to produce a TIG wire for CI. We got great milage from this wire. We did use Certanium 889 for CI.
We used several of their alloy rods, both 3880 and 3990, for repair of SS where the added elongation of the material was beneficial.
We used a considerable number of the 300 series Carbon Steel
Electrodes. We could keep them around as they ran so well on "Cracker boxes". They were an excellent rod for maintenance people as they were essentially immune to mishandling.
Their gouging electrode is one of the best around.
I was involved while the companies were separate entities and favored Cronatron due to the service we received and I knew the chief metallurgist. He started his career at Certanium. The best selling point at the time was the fluxes used by Cronatron on their electrodes

If that is no trouble, I sure would like to speak with a former employee, I do know that they are revamping the training and set up they have for their sales force in this area of the country so that interesting to me.
Thanks for your help, I've had a couple of awful sales jobs in my life and though I can tell this is a pretty good one, you are never told about the negatives of the daily job when you are interviewing.
