CATIA V5 R12 SP4 to Unigraphics NX2

CATIA V5 R12 SP4 to Unigraphics NX2

(OP)
We have a supplier who is unable to read our STEP files (203 or 214) successfully into UG NX2. They say there are a number of surfaces importing untrimmed.

However, if we take the same STEP file to Solidworks and create a Parasolid, it works fine.

Any ideas of how to make the STEP export/import correctly?

Thanks.

RE: CATIA V5 R12 SP4 to Unigraphics NX2

I think there are some options in UG to sew and unite surfaces to create solids when importing a step, but they are off by default. You might mention or ask them about this.
