Compatibility of Brine Solution with 316L Stainless Steel

I was wondering if one would get corrosion problems if 316L stainless steel is used in a purified water generation package that processes brine solution (salty water)
Thanks

RE: Compatibility of Brine Solution with 316L Stainless Steel

The 300 series stainless steels will usually pit if exposed to elevated Cl levels.  This is especially true if the line is left packed with the brine.
