Runtime Error!
Runtime Error!
(OP)
Has anyone ever seen this error msg? I seem to be getting this more and more often now when trying to open certain files. (which open fine on other pc's in our office).
-------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program: D:\SolidWorks\SLDWORKS.exe
adnormal program termination
-------------
Ive got a pretty good new system too:
P4-3.2GHz
2gig Ram
80gig SATA hd
winXP Pro (SP2)
Solidworks 2005 SP0.1
Our server needs to be upgrade though...We are running 3 computers off a win98 box (fat32)! Im not sure if that is whats causing this particular error though.

I'm not sure, but you may have hit a RAM allocation limit of some sort. I never use servers to access applications, so I might be way off here, but I'd imagine this would be a major problem--especially since Win 98 isn't supported by SW (especially not new versions).

RE: Runtime Error!
Well, i switched OFF the "/3GB" Windows switch, and my system seems to be a bit more stable. I've also lowered my page file back down to 2GB (initial/max). So far so good..... All in all it still doesn't make any sense why it should be more stable!....
