Offset wood shearwalls-omega factor

Offset wood shearwalls-omega factor

(OP)
I have a 3-story wood framed structure with offset shearwalls.  Do I increase the lateral loads specific to the offset lines by 280% and then specify for unit shear values and holdowns?  These values get to be very large by the time I get to the 1st floor.  What happens if I'm offset vertically and horizontally - do I only use omega factor once?  Can I tell plancheckers I'm offset 4 ft. or less and omega isn't used in this case?  I'm aware of stress increases.
