Box birder sub to torsion

Box birder sub to torsion

(OP)
Does anybody know there is any free stuff (eg design chart / table) for the analysis of box girder bridge under torsional moment. To be a bit detail: When the box girder is under a torsonal moment, it behaves as beam on elastic foundation which is difficult to be solved by hand. During the examination, I am not allowed to use computer program, are there any design charts/tables available on web?

You can find some charts in: AASHTO - Horizontally curved steel girder highway bridges (2003) - pg.353 - 357 (taken from pages 20-24 of Bethlem guide).

Anyway, if there are enough diaphragms you can ignore distorsional stresses.

I got a copy but not the latest/updated edition. Is there is alternative reference. And Who is Bethlem? Can I have the full title of his publication?

Thanks

RE: Box birder sub to torsion

I'm sorry: it was Bethlehem, not Bethlem. It is a steel fabricator. If you give me your e-mail address I can send you the charts taken from AASHTO guide.

Greetings.
