Can you view ProE dwg in S/W?

I am using solidworks 2005 and I am able to convert ProE parts and assemblies. Is it possible to open ProE dwgs in solidworks.  Is there a ProE viewer which I can download from somewhere so that I can view ProE dwgs like solidworks viewer does.  Thank-you for your help.

RE: Can you view ProE dwg in S/W?

Someone recently sent me a Pro-E part file that was saved (in the Pro-E program) as an IGS file. I was able to open their Pro-E IGS part file in Solidworks, but only as a "dumb" file.  I was unable to edit it.  However I was able to split the part in half.

RE: Can you view ProE dwg in S/W?

SW will open IGES files and if your using SW04 Sp2.1 it will open native Pro-E files and try to make it into a part with features. There is no question about that. His question is will SW open a Pro-E Drawing and the answer is no.
