Rollover stability of the vehicle M3 class I

Rollover stability of the vehicle M3 class I

(OP)
Hello everybody!

Can anybody tell me where can I find a method for calculating the stability for rollover of the vehicle category M3, class I (city bus), according to paragraphs 7.4.1, 7.4.5, 7.4.5.1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 from Directive 2001/85/EC?

Thank you all very much in advance.

RE: Rollover stability of the vehicle M3 class I

It would have been nice to include a link!

I could do it but it would take a reasonably long time, by hand, and would not necessarily be acceptable to the technical service, as they call it. Your best bet is to ask them directly, or via your legal/homologation group.

There are several gotchas not mentioned in that document, and frankly I would allow a 20% error margin.

Cheers

Greg Locock
