Can I create derived (not regular) configurations using design tables?

I believe the column heading "$parent" will do it, minus the quotes.

If still confused...

Manually create at least 2 configurations, "then" create the Design Table. It will layout the template you need to follow.

Yes you can.  I do it every day with sheet metal parts.
