Drived component pattern on curve driven pattern.

Drived component pattern on curve driven pattern.

Drived component pattern on curve driven pattern.

(OP)
First make a curve driven pattern in a part
Then use this for driving a component pattern in assembly.
Is it possible ?
Because I did this by very simple linear curve driven pattern , but sw show this message :
Cant specify start location for pattern

RE: Drived component pattern on curve driven pattern.

What SW version and SP are you using?

I did this in SW2005 sp0.0 and it works fine.

If you don't have the latest SP then I recommend upgrading and then trying it. It might have been a bug in the SP you are using.

RE: Drived component pattern on curve driven pattern.

In the assembly, insert a Feature Driven Pattern.

RE: Drived component pattern on curve driven pattern.

SW does not follow a Curve driven pattern in SW04 or 05. This an SPR and has been here since SW04. The Feature driven pattern will work with every type of feature pattern except a Curve driven pattern.
