LIMIT OF HIGH AXIAL VIBRATION

LIMIT OF HIGH AXIAL VIBRATION

LIMIT OF HIGH AXIAL VIBRATION

(OP)
Can anyone tell me what are the limits of axial vibration in TG sets (utility set of rating of more than 200 MW). Should we trip the machine on high axial vibration, even if horizontal and vertical vibration are within the limit.

RE: LIMIT OF HIGH AXIAL VIBRATION

If the high axial level is at rotation frequency, you may have a blade poorly oriented resulting in axial loading at rotation frequency. ISO 2372 / BS 4675 can be helpful for limits.
