Hi,
I want to display integration point results (here vector of mass flow mfl) as a vector/symbol plot in abaqus viewer. Unfortunately these vectors are always plotted at the nodes and not at the integration points. This leads to complex plots with a lot of arrows connected to every node. Its impossible to find out which vector is related to which element. Does anybody know how to make the vectors start at the int. point and not at the nodes ? Thanks in advance.

RE: Viewer: Vector display @integration points

If the variable is a nodal variable then you can't plot anything other than values at nodes and the vactors will alawys be at the nodes. If the varaiable is an element variable that has been averaged at the nodes then use the results option and reduce the Threshold% for nodal averaging down to zero.
