(OP)
Anybody know of equipment or designs for gasoline engine power (non hydrostatic) to hydraulic power systems (vane/gear/piston pump)of > 100 hp? ie. Car engine shaft power to all hydraulic pump power.
Most commercial systems seem to top out at ~ 10hp.
Thanks.

RE: >100hp hydraulic power packs

Not much help but they must exist, as some very large vehicles use hydraulic wheel motors as their transmission.

Aren't Bobcat skidsteers hydrostatically driven?  Try a construction machinery or farm machinery parts store.

If I remember from my younger years, you could buy standard "pump drives" to mount direct to the bell housings of any motor. When I was looking at them you could get them in a number of configurations (2-5 pump mounts) and different size drives for each. They were realitively standard components and mount sizes.

Sparweb is correct, and I believe that skidsteers use this type of mount (many of which are 100 hp+). Bobcat, New Holland, John Deere.

Excavators also exclusively use hydraulics for power transmission. If you are looking for something used, I would start with these (the power unit is somewhat isolated).

No reason you couldn't machine a mounting flange for any bell housing to which you would add a coupling and a pump.
