Hidden Line Color in Assembly Files

Hidden Line Color in Assembly Files

Hidden Line Color in Assembly Files

(OP)
Anybody know how to get the hidden lines to go along with the respective part color...rather than *all* coming in as gray? I can't seem to remember where this is at.
Thanks,
Ken

RE: Hidden Line Color in Assembly Files

If your in a part you have to set the hidden line color, You have to do the same with the assembly. I have not found a setting the changes the hidden lines to the same color as the part is.

Part = Tools\Options\Document Properties\Colors\Hidden - You can change the color here for hidden lines of a part.
If you check mark the option "Apply same color to wireframe, HLR and Shaded" then the same color will apply to those areas, but hidden lines are not and option there.

Assembly = Tools\Options\Document Properties\Colors\Hidden - If you change this color all hidden lines in the assembly will change to that specified color.

There is no where that I can find to do this within the options.

RE: Hidden Line Color in Assembly Files

I don't know why I just noticed this, but I would have sworn that the hidden lines used to follow their part's color (even in assemblies). Maybe that was SW2003? hhhmmm....

Thanks for the input,
Ken
