My 1965 version of FM 5-34 has Table 49, Properties of Steel Beams.  One column shows a "Max Span Length" followed by the column "Max Bracing Space".  What exactly does this Max Bracing Space" refer to?

RE: FM 5-34

I believe that the "Max Bracing Space" would apply if you were building a girder bridge.  This would refer to how much distance you can have between the cross members.  It also tells you what the ideal size of your truss would be if you built it to its greatest potential.  I was just wondering, where did you get your copy of FM 5-34?  I want one for personal use, but I don't want to take one from my unit and I can't download it from AKO.

My copy is a hard copy.  I noticed you want a downloadable one.  I believe I saw some on the web for sale, just do a search for FM5-34.  Thanks for the response
