Jim:

I personally can not help you.  But since you have had no responses in three months, perhaps you might post your question in:

(a) The newsgroup sci.geo.petroleum
(b) http://www.oilfielddirectory.com/forums.htm

I hope this isn't too late.

RE: induction generators driven by engines burning casing gas

Jim,
I can provide you with any information you may require regarding using casinghead gas to produce electricity with an induction generator.  You may contact me at berrytc@hotmail.com or call 505-623-3700.  Thank you.

RE: induction generators driven by engines burning casing gas

Jim,
Our company is currently receiving many requests for just such a system. Obviously the process is not new - but the demand has been low overall to date especially with relatively low KW demand (200kw and less). Now though, with the rising high electrical rates spawned by deregulation, the remote production sites, and landowner/environmental issues these power generating systems are more viable. We can easily quote on and induction unit once we have more information from you. We can offer these units in self contained modules, compressor and/or heating options, auxillary synchronous gensets (for when utility power fails) and/or bi-fuel systems. Contact me via mail devans@cefranklin.com or (403) 219-3607.
