Pile Cap 1-way shear

Pile Cap 1-way shear

(OP)
1. Could you recommend good pile cap design program?  We have been using TGPILES and MAT3D.  We are looking for pile cap program that could design shear wall cores.

2. 1-Way Shear - Have you ever consider Deep Beam Shear credit in 1-way shear capacity of pile cap?  instead of 2*SQRT(f'c) as specified in ACI?  Since the Span/D is mostly = 1 or less than 2.  Could we consider deep beam shear formula in calc. of allowable shear stress, which could produce higher capacity rather than phi*2*SQRT(f'c), which seems very low for the deep pile cap.

I would really appreciate it if you could sheare your valuable experience and thoughts on this.
   Thank you in advance
