3D sketch Problem

3D sketch Problem

3D sketch Problem

(OP)
Hi friends,

I try to use 3d sketch but when i click a starting point and drag the arrow to the next point the line is not visible
beside i shift it to xy, yz and zx plane nothing happens? Can you pls help me how to set up 3d sketch in " options"?

Thanks,

Jiabao

RE: 3D sketch Problem

The 3Dsketch is just like a 2Dsketch except your in 3D. When you use the Tab key that alters the XY, YZ, ZX. But you have to drag and drop the next point and you have to continually do that until you get your desired path. If your not seeing any sketch lines at all then it might be your video card.

RE: 3D sketch Problem

Another helpful feature in 3D sketch...

If you select a plane or a planar face before drawing a line, your line will be drawn on that face and constrained coincident to that face.

RE: 3D sketch Problem

Have you done the online 3d sketching tutorial ... this might help ensure you are starting & doing things properly.

What version of SolidWorks & service pack, video card & driver, Operating system & service pack are you using?
