Literature on Torsional Plastic Bending

Literature on Torsional Plastic Bending

Literature on Torsional Plastic Bending

(OP)
On analysing repairs on the A380 beams, we are presented with Torsional plastic bending, as a means of substantiation. This led to a request for the reference text for this. This was provided as "Behaviour of inelastic materials" by James O Smith.
A quick book search shows this was printed by Wiley in 1965, and is now out of print, so our chance of obtaining a copy for reference, is non-existent.
Does anybody know of literature, readily available, or a current reference that broaches this subject.
I would add this is for sections, rather than for circular shafts.
Regards
Jim

RE: Literature on Torsional Plastic Bending

I did a search on Bookfinder.com and found the following:

Inelastic Behavior of Load-Carrying Members
Smith, James O. And Omar M. Sidebottom
Published 1965, John Wiley and Sons.

Could this be the book you are looking for?  If so, it looks like it is available from four bookstores at a cost of $15.22 to $29.00.

Good luck.
