TRIMMING BENT TUBES

TRIMMING BENT TUBES

(OP)
Hello everyone,

I am trying to gather some info on how industries
trim tubular products consistently (repeatability)
to size (length).

Thanks

RE: TRIMMING BENT TUBES

Hi
Certain CNC benders have hydraulic cut off devices buildt in; it bends and cuts the pipe consistently if none of the other parameters vary, i.e. tube material, batch of tubes, temperature, machine process, operator etc.
Anybody can bend pipes but if tolerances are paramount, a proper SPC is crucial to obtain repeatability.
Generally a seamless process, design to manufacture, produce a more consistent result.
